I tried for many years to treat my attraction to the camera as a hobby. Always toting it to family gatherings and special occasions, aiming for that impeccable shot. It became expected that I would be taking photos, and my family and friends began to rely on me to capture all our big events. Finally, it hit me; photography had to be a bigger part of my life. I had to let my passion for the art of capturing life’s moments take center stage.
I have learned how to be patient in the face of chaos and seize that perfect shot. I’ve honed my natural sense of fun and flexibility so that my clients don’t realize they are being photographed until they see that unexpected, yet beautifully, candid shot. I’ve learned to adapt to changing light, unpredictable circumstances, bad hair days, and the inevitable crying child – all while maintaining a sense of calm during a session. My clients know that I will listen to them carefully and incorporate their ideas and vision into the creative process.
I always want to connect with my clients’ most precious moments – both candidly and, when desired, in a studio setting. Whether I am photographing a bride to be, a two week old child that has just brought a family new joy or a special event that has been carefully planned; my goal is always the same…..create lasting memories that tell your story.
My job with each client is to create an environment that allows us to communicate effectively and feel comfortable with one another. This way we highlight the environment’s natural elements allowing inner expressions to come to life. I work closely with my clients to achieve their ultimate goal: pictures they will cherish for their lifetime. I am a native to Charlotte and love finding so many amazing locations for sessions. There is a beautiful backdrop around every corner.Husband. Father. Photographer. These are the three words that not only define me, but give me more happiness than words can express.
